The Liberté collection celebrates the symbolism of the Statue of Liberty here in New York. It reminds us that we at Ivey Abitz are able to create clothing that celebrates our uniqueness because we live in a country that seeks to honour the ideals of liberty and independence. May we never take this for granted.

Subtle darting at the chest and gentle tailoring at the waist creates a comfortable silhouette. A sweeping a-line drape in the skirting gives you ease of movement with incredible freedom below the waist. The pleating springs out freely from behind the curved and pointed detail near the bottom hem, further representing the symbolism of the collection.

Fabric

Solid hued fabrics feature the curved and pointed detail along the bottom hem of the frock. For a bolder look, choose a striped weave as it will give added contrast with bias cut pockets and contrasting lines in the bottom hem detail. The Liberté is considered a “base layer,” which means that it is meant to be the foundation for many different ensembles. Choose a fabric for the frock that can be best mixed and matched with the other weaves you have in mind from our collection.
