Ettienne Frock

Ettienne is a variation of the word that means crown in French, and our new layering frock is meant to be worn as the crown jewel atop your favourite Ivey Abitz garments.

• The Ettienne is a layering piece designed to be worn over frocks and shirts to feature their necklines and collars.
• Its neck facing also has a “sash holder” that allows you to thread a sash or tie through the openings to keep it in place on the front of the frock. It can be worn and enjoyed with or without a sash. Don’t want the “sash holder” to show in the front? Wear it backwards and the holder will be covered by your cardigan in back. You can also order the frock without the “sash holder.” Just leave a note for us in the comments when you check out. All sashes are available separately.
• The Ettienne has slits in the side seams that begin just below the waistline and continue to the bottom hem. It gives more freedom of movement as a layering piece, and it also gives you access to the pockets in your layering frocks, skirts and trousers.

Pairs well with all of our “base frocks” like the all-time favourite Blanchefleur Frock. It is ideal worn over frocks that feature straight
horizontal lines along the bottom hem like the Gabled Frock, Hudson Frock, and Viv Frock.
