Celia Kaye helps Carolyn choose a hat. Celia is our Ansel’s mother, and she was used as a breeding dog until she became very ill and almost died. She spent several weeks in quarantine with a contagious and life threatening virus before she was well enough for us to adopt her in 2021. It’s been a long road to recovery, but she gains strength each day. When we first adopted her, she was weak, clumsy, and didn’t have the stamina to walk. Today, she can walk two miles without stopping! Once exhausted and shy of any new person that crossed her path, she is now full of energy and gaining confidence with humans. She is Cynthia’s constant companion, usually carrying her favourite toy in her mouth with a constantly wagging tail.
