Flat front/elastic back waistband is flattering and so easy to wear. Why? Because life is far too short to have waistbands cutting into our stomachs. Been there, done that. Fabric options
Stripes and plaid fabrics are our top recommendations. They really play up the bottom hem band detail on the trouser legs. Side seam pockets are bias cut, giving the trousers some added visual interest. Solid hued weaves will give you a more subtle Viv, which is good with her, too.
Ensemble suggestions
