Get to know Viv
“The divine is in the details.” This is what Viv told me. This one’s for her.
- Carefree but still brimming with defining details. Relaxed but put together. Flattering but never patronizing.
- Wraparound side ties are a must unless you know you’ll always want to wear it relaxed with a straight silhouette. Wrap to the back, then front, and tie in place. Wrap them to just the front for a longer cascading tie off-centered. Wrap to the back for a longer tie tied at the small of your back. You have lots of options. This is what gives Viv its added kick.
- Side seam pockets are extra sizable because Viv doesn’t carry a bag. These are a nod to her that will help the rest of us through everyday life.
Fabric options
There are a lot of options because of the Viv’s versatile design. Choose a thicker fabric to wear it more like a coat. Choose a thinner fabric to wear it more like a layering dress or long shirt. Striped and plaid weaves will give you added visual interest; the cuffs will have horizontal stripes in striped weaves and will be bias cut in plaid weaves.
Ensemble suggestions
Viv’s neckline, collar, and sleeve detail complements the Pierrepont collection. Viv used to live near Pierrepont, so it makes perfect sense that these collections complement one another. We also like the Viv mixed in with our Eugenia Jacket, Baedeker designs, and the Baudelaire Duster Coat.
This original Ivey Abitz design is made just for you in New York.
