Bartholdi created the Statue of Liberty to celebrate the United States’ independence. The intricate details of his work of art in copper are translated into a work of art in fabric.

We look to the curved repetitive shapes in the torch, which for Bartholdi represented progress and peace. We want you to have a peaceful experience as you wear your Bartholdi Jacket from Ivey Abitz. Its cuffs echo the details of the statue’s torch, and they are finished with our signature curved pin tucks.

Its wrap design gives you such an easy and flattering fit. Its back ties allow you to adjust the fit of the waist in an instant whilst the interior and exterior front ties allow you to adjust the drape and ease across the chest in front.

Its 3/4 length sleeves, dropped shoulder seams, and v-neck design combined allow this design to work on any frame. You have freedom to be at ease in your skin, and the Bartholdi will adjust to you and for you.

Fabric

Lighter weight weaves are ideal, in part due to the two layers on the front of the jacket. Floral prints and stripes are a wonderful choice. If knits are chosen, it will allow the jacket to hug the body more than something like a lightweight cotton voile, which is featured in the photographs.
