Fabric Description
Description: This is a floral take on Cape Cod’s palette and infinite beauty. A splash of yellow is necessary for an undeniable hue of happy. It is contrasted with calming blues and earthy rusts. The background is a nod to the classic spatter paint floors that are ubiquitous in historic Cape Cod homes. Because of the texture in the crinkled effect, this lovely silk fabric has a bit of give to it. It will give you some leeway in terms of fit, and garment measurements are approximate because of it. If you’d like your layering frock to hug your body (as opposed to a more relaxed drape) consider ordering one size down from your normal size. Otherwise, embrace the relaxed drape to ensure stress is not placed on seams and order in your normal IA size. Order a size up for a truly ethereal and relaxed drape.
Content: 100 percent silk, woven in Italy. All season weave.
Care: Simply hand wash or put through machine delicate cycle in cold water with a plant based detergent. We suggest using a natural fabric softener to maintain the softness we have washed into it. Tumble dry on extra-low heat with our artisan wool dryer balls to keep the relaxed effect that is featured in the Look Book. You can easily change the drape and fit by spritzing the weave with water and reshaping the silk chiffon. It is very forgiving and wonderful.
