Slate Petite Check Coat Weave

Sometimes, we find we need to throw in a hue that surprises us and makes us smile — even if you’re the only one that will ever see it. Because that is the point of Ivey Abitz, isn’t it? It is about getting ready every day to honour YOU. This coating is here to delight you.

The outer layer is a smooth and slick matte coat weave: sturdy, subtle, and smart. But oh, just you wait. There is so much more. On the inside of your coat, you’ll be greeted by a HELLO, YELLOW! yellow. This is an homage to the yellow lines on the platforms of all the NYC subway stations. It is created by a smooth layer of smooth rubber-like, pliable paint, which makes it very easy to slip your coat on and off. It also makes the weave more of a wind breaker without lots of synthetic fibers.

This weave has been set aside for duster coats and shirt jackets that you plan to wear as an outdoor going-out-on-the-town sort of piece.

Cotton viscose mix. All season weave.

Care

Simply hand wash or put through machine delicate cycle in cold water with a plant based detergent. We suggest using a natural fabric softener to maintain the softness we have washed into it. Tumble dry on extra-low heat with our artisan wool dryer balls (just a few minutes is needed) to keep the relaxed effect that is featured in the Look Book. You can easily change the drape and fit by spritzing the weave with water and reshaping the silk chiffon. It is very forgiving and wonderful.
