Description: Wool is a gift from nature. It is one of the finest examples of sustainable (a recent buzzword, but we are glad it is finally being given attention) fabrics because it can give you a lifetime of wear with proper care. When a garment in such a wool is ready to be retired, it can become compost, making it a friend to our landfills. This is why we feel like singing about this incredible washed herringbone wool. We especially love it for layering jackets and duster coats, our skirts, and our vests. Designs in this wool are made unlined so you can enjoy the herringbone on the inside and out. However, if you'd like a little more insulation for winter, or you have a wool sensitivity, we can line any of our herringbone wool garments with silk (for an additional fee to cover the cost of it). Simply email us your requests, and we'll create your bespoke garments as you have envisioned.Available in our Central Park green hues and our Slate hues. We suggest having a Slate wardrobe set and a Central Park wardrobe set with the herringbone chosen for the coat and/or vests.Content: 100 soft and washed wool. Woven in Italy. Three season weave. Care: Simply hand wash or put through machine delicate cycle in cold water with a plant based detergent. We suggest using a natural fabric softener to maintain the softness we have washed into it. Tumble dry on extra-low heat with our artisan wool dryer balls to keep the relaxed effect that is featured in the Look Book. You can easily change the drape and fit by spritzing the weave with water and reshaping the silk chiffon. It is very forgiving and wonderful.

Description

Wool is a gift from nature. It is one of the finest examples of sustainable (a recent buzzword, but we are glad it is finally being given attention as we have been sustainable since the very beginning of Ivey Abitz) fabrics because it can give you a lifetime of wear with proper care. However, if you’d like a little more insulation for winter, or you have a wool sensitivity, we can line any of our herringbone wool garments with silk (for an additional fee). Simply email us your requests, and we’ll create your bespoke garments as you have envisioned.
