Fabric Description
Description: The weaver went and got all clever with this weave, and we are grateful. Look closely, and you’ll see a play between a textured matte weave with tiny horizontal lines that creates one stripe. Then, it quickly transitions to a smooth sateen stripe with a black stripe woven right into that stripe. If it sounds complicated, that’s because it is–wonderfully complicated and intricate and lovely. The result is a smooooooth weave that is so wonderfully comfortable. Opaque and sturdy but lightweight, especially considering how intricate it is! Best in our trousers, skirts, and jackets. A select few of our layering frocks are available in this fine weave, too.
Content: Finely spun cotton. Three season weave.
Care: Simply hand wash or put through machine delicate cycle in cold water with a plant based detergent. We suggest using an natural fabric softener to maintain the softness we have washed into it. Tumble dry on extra-low heat with our artisan wool dryer balls to keep the relaxed effect that is featured in the Autumn Winter 2018-19 Look Book.
