Poppy Silk Voile

If you know anything about Ivey Abitz, you know that we love layering with rare voiles. This one is particularly rare because it mixes silk in with fine cotton threads, creating a tighter and thus more opaque weave. It has a slight sheen to it, adding to its refinement and elegance. As with all of our cotton voiles, it is semi-transparent, lightweight, and ethereal. Wear on its own (with a lightweight Cilla Slip Frock) in the summer or layer with thicker woolens during autumn, winter, and spring. It is very sturdy, considering it is an exceptionally lightweight weave.

Simply hand wash or put through machine delicate cycle in cold water with a plant based detergent. We suggest using a natural fabric softener to maintain the softness we have washed into it. Tumble dry on extra-low heat with our artisan wool dryer balls (just a few minutes is needed) to keep the relaxed effect that is featured in the Look Book. You can easily change the appearance by twisting the voile to give it more of a crushed effect, or simply smooth it out with your hands for a smoother look. It is very forgiving and wonderful.
