Fabric Description

Description

Okay. This weave… it just has so much to give you. Classic black and white? Check. A hint of blue to mix in with an entirely new palette if you so choose? Check. Opaque, soft, and sturdy natural weave? Check. You would think we would be all finished with its merits after ticking all those boxes, but there is so much more. Turn the fabric over, and it reveals its extraordinary backside. It is not merely just a repeat of its special facing. It is a black and white pinstripe weave that will delight you every time you slip on your garments. Surprise, it says! Thought you needed us to shake things up a bit.To appreciate the front and back at the same time, choose this weave for our raw edged designs like the Trelawny Duster Coat (as shown in the Look Book) or Celia Duster Coat.It is a double weave in that it has two layers, but it does not feel weighty. Yes, it is opaque and substantive, but it drapes and feels like a lighter weight weave. The weaver describes it as a four season weave for this reason. Wear it in cooler months for layering or wear it on its own in warmer months.

Content

Summer weight, finely spun and soft wool, woven in Italy. All season weave.

Care

Simply hand wash or put through machine delicate cycle in cold water with a plant based detergent. We suggest using a natural fabric softener to maintain the softness we have washed into it. Tumble dry on extra-low heat with our artisan wool dryer balls to keep the relaxed effect that is featured in the Look Book.
