Fabric Description
Description: Our delightfully printed, washed, and softened, our new Independence Cottage Garden Weave is symbolic. It represents the palette of the flowers found at the Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site. Eleanor had a flower garden when she lived there, and park rangers continue its upkeep. Eleanor used to cut flowers from this garden and place them in vases through her home–especially in the guest rooms of guests. She always went out of her way to make people feel at home. This fabric is opaque with a wonderfully fluid drape. It has been set aside for bold coat linings paired with our Honour Waxed Cotton, a selection of our layering frocks, and a special choice for our sashes.
Content: 100 percent washed viscose (made from renewable soft wood pulp). Four season weave.
Care: Simply hand wash or put through machine delicate cycle in cold water with a plant based detergent. We suggest using a natural fabric softener to maintain the softness we have washed into it. Tumble dry on extra-low heat with our artisan wool dryer balls to keep the relaxed effect that is featured in the Look Book.
