This collection of Ivey Abitz clothing is inspired by the first art movement in the U.S. It started in the early 1800’s by a group of New York painters called the Hudson River School. The bucolic and majestic landscapes of the Hudson Valley that inspired these artists two hundred years ago is now the home of Ivey Abitz. We live and work within these landscapes.

Hessian Lake. Hudson Highlands, New York. A painting by artist designer Cynthia Ivey Abitz. You can order a giclée print of this painting.

Side by Side
I painted landscapes from the settings they revered. The new garments in this collection are inspired by my paintings’ palettes, textures, and the love of things created by hand. Each gallery in the new look book has its own painting and group of ensembles connected to it.
I invite you on a journey through this American landscape and into a new American art movement. Come with me!
