Description: Layered ensembles are the hallmark of Ivey Abitz. Garments made with open weaves, like our new Mansard Roof Open Weave, are at the heart of how and why we layer. We approach an ensemble like a fine art painting. Just like layers and layers of brushstrokes create texture and depth in a painting, so does the fabric we choose to create our ensembles. Our clients call them works of art, and they are correct. The play between the opaque weave and open squares is nothing short of extraordinary. It has a repetition in the open squares, even though they are not all completely the same size. This adds to its uniqueness and charm.Content: 100 percent wool, woven in Italy. All season weave. Care: Simply hand wash or put through machine delicate cycle in cold water with a plant based detergent. We suggest using a natural fabric softener to maintain the softness we have washed into it. Tumble dry on extra-low heat with our artisan wool dryer balls (just a few minutes is needed) to keep the relaxed effect that is featured in the Look Book. You can easily change the drape and fit by spritzing the weave with water and reshaping the silk chiffon. It is very forgiving and wonderful.
