Fabric Description
Description
Reminiscent of herringbones used in union-made work coveralls from the early 1900’s, we have put a spotlight on it for our new bespoke collection. Despite its utilitarian origins, we find an elegant classicism in the weave that we want to celebrate. We have put it through an additional washing process to enhance the softness. It is ideal for sturdy trousers, long-wearing duster coats, and throw-about bags. Because of its sturdiness, it will create a fun swoosh movement in a pair of trousers. In a duster coat, you’ll feel in the weave straight away that it can be worn for a lifetime with proper care. Wear often and soften the weave with your life story. In designs with buttons, we will pair it with our symbolic metal anchor buttons.Opaque and incredibly sturdy, it is a good choice for layering in cooler seasons or on its own in warmer temperatures during summer days. Comfortable in up to 80 degrees Fahrenheit, though back in the day, this kind of weave was worn in factories without air conditioning in over 100 degree temperatures. It was chosen for its sturdiness to keep the skin safe as well as its breathability.
Content
100 percent cotton. All season weave.
Care
Simply hand wash or put through machine delicate cycle in cold water with a plant based detergent. We suggest using a natural fabric softener to maintain the softness we have washed into it. Tumble dry on extra-low heat with our artisan wool dryer balls to keep the relaxed effect that is featured in the Look Book. If you are the least bit concerned about any fabric weight or hue, order the fabric swatch portfolio so you can have them in hand whilst you decide. They will answer all of your questions!
