Inspired by the Work and Words of Eleanor Roosevelt

Val-Kill was a place where people could relax and be themselves. Eleanor owned the cottage on her own without her husband (the 32nd President of the United States, Franklin Delano Roosevelt), though he helped with designing the first cottage built there called Stone Cottage. He visited often and enjoyed the poolside and companionship of dogs. Courtesy National Park Service.
